Entre_Perpetuo Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 Coldplay - Moon Music This won’t make almost anyone’s year end top ten but mine. I could try to explain why I love it, or just tell you that it means a lot to me, as Coldplay albums somehow always do.
Entre_Perpetuo Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 The Linda Lindas - No Obligation I enjoy this a lot! Not a top of my list kind of record but totally something I would buy. Pearl Jam - Dark Matter I am less negative towards this than my initial reaction, but I think that has a lot more to do with liking the sound of the band than this particular record. And I do still think the compression and pitch correction of Vedder’s voice is egregious. 1

Every rock group he's produced sounds like a dog's taint. Mick 1

It still comes close to my AOTY, it's very close between this and The Cure.
invisible airwave Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Leonard Cohen - Old Ideas Rolling Stones - Got Live If You Want It! (first streaming listen btw) Queen - A Day at the Races 5
Segue Myles Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Blood Incantation- Absolute Elsewhere Well this blew me away and I'm in awe. Maybe the best extreme metal release in many, many years! It's like vintage Opeth, Behemoth and kraut-rock had an orgy 1

This is my second listen of this album. I liked their 2019 album a lot (forgot about it though...). This album feels like if death metal emerged in 1972. 1
Segue Myles Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Foxes Foxes- Helplessness Blues 10/10 But I give their entire discography this rating
Entre_Perpetuo Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Weezer - OK Human Is this better than Blue? 1

But I do love Blue! Ah well that’ll do it, lol Blue is amazing. I’m sure no other album of their’s is ever gonna top its reputation. There is at least one though that I do like better, and perhaps two with OK Human. 1
Entre_Perpetuo Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 The Warning - Keep Me Fed ooooooo wait…. I think it clicked. I don’t rescind my analysis of what this is, but I am reevaluating how much I enjoy it. It’s a heavy pop album, and actually it’s pretty tightly wound, with lots of ear candy. I dig it. Still probably not as much as their last two, but yes, this is good. Sorry, J. I didn’t get it at first.
Entre_Perpetuo Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 Middle Kids - Faith Crisis Vol. 1 Good enough to enjoy, but there’s just not a lot of depth to these songs I find.
bluefox4000 Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 Sabrina Carpenter Short n Sweet (8/10) I really like her but as i said this wasn't AOTY material for me. I think her previous record blows this one away. But i do really like her. Mick 2
