I LOVE Affinity.

 

I read the band said Toto was an influence and you really hear it in the keyboard solo in 1985.  That's a steve Porcaro synth solo if i ever heard one!!!!!

And the little lead 🎸 break is very melodic and phrased like Luke would 👍🙂

Actually now that we say it...1985 could have come straight off Isolation era Toto.  Minus the djent/metal breaks in it, lol

Also those very much ‘ tribute to the 80s synth patches ‘ on 1985 tip their hat greatly towards the amazing synth & composition work done by Vince DiCola on the Rocky IV album soundtrack. 

 which was fresh ground breaking at that point in time of its release in ‘85/‘86

I think because To Be With You got so overplayed that people got to the point where they were like "go away and never come back. I don't want to hear from you again" 😄
