bluefox4000 Posted March 15, 2023 Share Posted March 15, 2023 (edited) Foreigner-Foreiger (9/10) It's funny how This Band became AOR smooth balladeers later on (Balladeers might seem a stretch but not really, lol) For their first 4 They were pretty much a decidedly hard rock band. Girl like You on 4 sealed their AOR label though. But anyway i love this debut. it has such swag to it. My order 4 Double Vision Head Games Debut but they're great albums the following albums are all too slick and synth driven. i normally don't mind that but i think of Foreigner as a guitar driven band and it took a backseat after 4. Can't slow down is like HALF ballads. and here's my thing. i love ballads....i do. But story time. Foreigner kinda BLOWS at ballads. sure it gave them success. However people confuse Success with good........don't work like that my dudes Give the first 4 where they melt my face with guitar driven rock.
