No.  They were a better rock bank in the 80s when Kulick and Carr were in the band.  Ace is an interesting character, and I like his public persona, but he is a mediocre, at best, guitarist.  Same goes for Criss on the drums.

While Ace was not technically as good as the other guitarists in KISS, his riffs and sound made the songs great.

You probably know more about their songwriting than I do.  I'd be interested to know how much he wrote, as opposed to Stanley, though.
