Burning out on my Queen binge. I feel a King Gizzard jag coming on.

If there’s a way to be a masterpiece without being “perfect,” this the way.

Judas Priest - Turbo

Yes.  I know.  The "tough guys," will tell you this isn't "real" Priest.  It is.

I agree. But I would still rank Turbo and Ram It Down low, but Defenders (which I think slots in with these two in many ways) is a classic to my ears.

Muse

The 2nd law (7/10)

Simulation Theory (7/10)

Drones (9/10)

Hear me out.  the two 7's are actually improved scores from me......I still think these are 2 bottom tier Muse records.  BUUUUUUUT......i gained a whole level of respect cause on 2nd law they said f**k it let's go in a bonkers direction, lol

and the result is a Stylistically confused gumbo of what da f**k, lol.  and they don't care which i again can now respect.

Drones........

that is all, lol

riverside_identity_cd-300x300.jpg

This was just released five days ago. Thought I was in for a real treat, since I loved the melodic one-two punch of the first two tracks, but then my enthusiasm waned during the middle of the album (actively disliked the 13-minute "The Place Where I Belong"). The album picked up some near the end, however.

I've been playing this album a lot since release date. I must say I am really enjoying all of it (mind you, Riverside are a favourite band of mine!!!)
