50 years ago today, the crew of Apollo 17 took this photo of our planet.

 

This picture is worth an infinite number of words.  :notworthy:

That photo is fake! Even though the technology to produce a fake image of that clarity, detail and realism didn't exist in 1972, we all know the Earth is flat and that the idea of it being a globe that is revolving around the sun is a huge worldwide conspiracy that somehow has been kept intact for decades!

The Orion spacecraft took part in the fun, taking this awesome photo of the Earth and Moon when it was way far away. 

 

Orion set a new record for farthest distance ever travelled by a spacecraft that can house human beings.   :thumbsup:
