Nova Carmina
Now that the Yankees are looking mortal again, I find myself rooting more for Judge to get to 62 (or more). When they were gonna win 120 games, it was just more insufferability, but now it seem less threatening. How many more home games do the Yanks have in that bandbox? Fordgalaxy
As long as he doesn't need an asterisk by his name like Bonds, McGwire, and Sosa do, good for him.
Rick N. Backer
3 away from the record? You have to assume he's got it in the bag.

As illustrated in my first post, the top six spots on the list are all cheaters. I'd love to see Judge at least get into one of those spots and push a cheater down the list. I like to poke fun at the Maris asterisk. The Brewers handled Judge pretty well Friday and Saturday, but today's pitchers weren't exactly their best. They made it interesting in the bottom of the 9th.
invisible airwave
He might hit it with Smoltz broadcasting the game. I'm no Yankee fan but keep your bias at bay when broadcasting nationwide and let Judge have his moment, Joe Buck Part Deux. Just STFU.

1-0-0-1-0-0-1
61 Judge ties the AL single season HR record 61 years after Roger Maris hit 61 in 1961.
edhunter
I loved the closeup of the 2 fans that got in each other's way trying to catch it. There went a million Canadian bucks.

In the replay it looks like no one touched it. The announcer said it was untouched by a fan. Judge got the ball and he gave it to his mom. https://www.mlb.com/news/aaron-judge-roger-maris-home-run-history
Principled Man
Judge has a very good chance of hitting #62 at home. He has 3 games to do it! It reminds me of when Hank Aaron hit #714 in Cincinnati - Opening Day, 1974. I was in 8th grade, and the teacher let us watch the game. Aaron hit #714 off of Jack Billingham, and we all went crazy. Aaron didn't play again until the Braves were at home, where he hit #715 off of Al Downing.

Because so many other players were juicing during those few years? Yeah, I get that. The difference is none of those other players broke two of the most beloved records in baseball -- the single season and the all-time HR records. McGwire, Sosa and Bonds are the faces of the steroid era for a reason.
