One thing we're sure of, Cleese never wanted to stay in one place for long. Leaving Monty Python early, finishing FT after only twelve episodes. Now that I think about it, I'm beginning to hate him. All the laughs we missed because of him.

If he`d had any idea of his future alimony bills, there`d have been 100 FTs and another dozen MP films.

RIP, Bernard!    It says too much about me that I remember him from the Daleks and the Railway Children.  Such a good character in whatever he was in.

RIP to a man who was a big part of the collective childhood of my generation. The Wombles at tea time. Dr Who. The Carry Ons, the Ealing comedies etc. 

 

Great legacy.
