Just listening to Neil speak, even then, sounds like a scholar.  How in the world does a dumb drummer, while explaining the musical output from Canada, sound so damned diplomatic??

"Viaduct out of Canada" - LOL

Is that like a big tube or waterslide?

My brain would be searching for "big boy" words just to converse.  Ya know.

I got a kick out of Neil's assessment: "People like Black Sabbath, that wasn't 'energy' music, really, it was 'downer' music, ya know. It was heavy, but, uh, there was no energy . . ."

Not to cast any shade on Sabbath, but Neil wasn't wrong.

Neil, with a degree of humorous humility, indicates he and the band aren't prepared to settle for just being reasonably good musicians at the 5:24 mark:

Interviewer: Where are you planning on going from here?

Neil:  To the top.

Then Alex, being ever the Spaßmacher, replies, "I'd like to go down to the Bahamas for a couple weeks."

Thanks Jarg, my first listen, ever.

Interesting how Geddy sort of says John's departure was a difference in music, tired of touring...polite and keeping it clean (like so much of Rush ever since), but over the years we have a bit of a different story.
