Close call for me but So really has become the quintessential PG album.

The vote doesn’t reflect how massively awesome Melt is. If I had to differentiate “best” from “favorite” (which I normally don’t because it doesn’t usually make much sense to do so), I’d have one of them in each category . So has its moments that aren’t quite so magical, and sometimes the mega 80s production seems to be lacking some warmth and resonance…. But it’s still my favorite if the two. The highlights mean the world to me. Melt is a far more consistent record imo, and doesn’t suffer so much from that kind of hollowness So can have. But….I’m not so fiercely attached to the songs, despite loving them all.
