Christmas is a f--ky time of year, emotion-wise and stress-wise.

It's pretty easy to get wound up before, and during, the holidaze.

This is why I like getting the hell out of here, and going somewhere warm and non-greedy.

Yeah, 'tis true. But it's less overt where I'm heading!

People here in the west get pretty stressed-out this time of year. The folks where I work get a little "off" at Christmas, myself included sadly.

I try to lead a stress-free life, but it sure ain't easy.

I believe I need two weeks in Thailand, followed by two weeks of happy pizzas/shakes in Cambodia!

At least 95% of western culture will never understand what that means. And even after explaining, I'd say you're at less than 10% understanding what it means

If there's a TRFer that I'd trust to be my wingman in a Southeast Asian expedition, it'd be you. And that's a helluva compliment if I'm being frank. :yes:

It's pretty hard to escape Christmas music though.

Heard "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer" just after getting off a plane in Malaysia. Then the hotel had a muzak version of that Paul McCartney song on infinite loop for our entire stay. :blink:

Lorraine, I know you're having a horrible time of it right now, and that's a bummer, but I don't think Music can make ANYTHING 'worse'. I used to hate certain Christmas songs myself, but since finding Mannheim Steamroller and their style of Christmas arrangements, I LOVE Them AGAIN! When performed as this group does, sometimes with the actual instruments which they were traditionally played on, it's just TOO MUCH!

Rogue One: A Frustration Story. Our crappy Enid theater will never stop disappointing. First theater 8 has seats dating back to the Carter administration. Then a large family brings in a noisy toddler with an annoying toy consisting of distracting bright colored lights. Hey maybe next time one of the twelve of you stay home with the kid. Then with about 12 minutes left in the film the screen goes dark. As I wait in the lobby for the manager I can hear a certain character making an exciting appearance. I'll try again tomorrow. #shareAMC
