Feeling so low I give into all the worst foods and find that when I put my jeans on it looks my butt looks like a raging sumo wrestler.

Drug companies, and their GREED. That one guy who makes the revolutionary drug for AIDS sufferers, raising the price 5,000 per cent? Then the companies doing everything they can to defeat other companies trying to make cheaper Act like substitutes? The Drug companies need to be taken out and DESTROYED. Their actions need to be OUTLAWED. Have to switch back to XP. No way can the computer we have handle 7. :( It froze up so bad before that it was working worse than with dial up.

This was a a few days ago but I'd bought a new CD and after listening to it once I put it in my CD drive and tried to rip it to my computer. And then when I take it out I see an error message that some of the tracks couldn't e found. I turned it over to see if there was any dust or grease on it and I found that my CD drive had shredded my CD... It was perfectly fine when I put it in and when I played it before :(

Tip: Don't buy a Samsung SE-208DB

 

This is something I always worry about with CD's.

I understood that. But Samsung has to REPLACE FOR FREE, the player, and ALSO THE CD, at THEIR EXPENSE!!! I've been a Samsung advocate since I bought a big screenTV back in '09....I've had some trouble with their Blu-ray player, but I feel that was MY FAULT for purchasing a 'refurbished' unit. Last time for that Bull Shit. Everything else I've bought had performed up to their own ads....I DON'T put up with products that don't meet manufacturer's standards.

What gave me a headache today? Magpies.

 

Are you familiar with Magpies? They do not travel about alone. More like a dozen show up. Then they fetch more friends. They are loud and boisterous.

 

They've taken a liking to our home and property for some reason. They've been here for the past three days from the time I get up at 5:30 AM until they go off to bed at sunset. They never shut up for long. They are walking around on my roof. :huh:

Youngest daughter called with a dental update! I have been encouraging her to go for a cleaning since she hasn't been in 2 years. WHAT the heck has she been doing/eating???? She said she has 10 (small, but I don't care !!!) cavities! Are you effing kidding me? She, Her brother, sister, and Dad were all ALWAYS cavity free. I thought it was genetics and I would swear at them when I went for my crowns. I am so pissed !! (Image due to having corresponding wonderful news as well- see "what made your day thread" . . . never a dull moment around here . . .

Sorry to hear this, blueschica! I'm starting to regret my general lack of teeth care myself...don't get me wrong, every six months as expected by my Health Plan (excellent from FORD MOTOR COMPANY) but my genetics weren't so good...Got a LOT of cavities when I was young....

Today in the Tim Horton's there was a creepy old guy who approached a blonde woman he didn't know who was sitting at a table by herself. He started a conversation with her that lasted for almost 5 minutes. She was obviously uncomfortable about the whole situation and looked noticeably relieved when he finally left her alone. I went to a local record store with the hopes of buying a few cds and albums but when I got there, I saw the "closed for the 4th" sign. My second choice was just a few blocks away and is actually larger so I figured I'd still be able to find what I was looking for. They were open but had none of what I wanted in any format. :rage:

 

My attempt to support local businesses was for naught so after I got home I ordered the various things from a couple of places on the interwebs and should have them by the end of the week.

Had to cross Ireland from west to east today, and every direct route for 35 miles was closed. It added 90 minutes of touring the Irish countryside to an already 5-hour trip! :rage:
