What pissed you off today? v.2

Having my last night winnings at the casino being negated (and then some) by having to replace my tire after it blew out on the way home. :rage:

Look at the bright side - it cost you nothing to replace your tire. :)

That happens often (actually more than often) to me which is why when I get an unexpected financial windfall from somewhere I get paranoid.

Not liking that it happens to you, but this is me saying that you are not the only one! Happens here too!

I have a friend that I used to work with in NYC and we still keep in touch. She and her husband live in Florida now. She told me how they were coming home from a weekend cruise they took with money they won in the lottery. Riding home in the car, they were laughing how they had something like $200 or so left, and wasn't it great they still had money to spare. All of a sudden, they noticed the car engine overheating. The water pump had gone out. Cost them the $200 they had left to replace it.

We are not alone, Chica. :)

But it does make me paranoid. :scared:

Randomness not only makes me some people paranoid but also superstitious in other cases

Wasted 4.5 hours in a cell phone shop today with the wife. Waiting waiting waiting then listening to countless options, plans, the wife's never ending trivial questions. My f***ing back hurts!

Gotta love it! :P

Found out that my eldest brother [he's 54] was assaulted in a restaurant last Saturday. He was eating alone at the bar of the restaurant when some random customer was making faces at him. Who the hell does that?! My brother moved to the other side of the bar and told the guy to get away. THEN, the guy followed my bro to the other side of the bar and threatened him twice. Who hell knows why?! My bro told the guy to leave him alone loud enough to be heard by others. As my bro was telling the bartender to call security (restaurant was by a mall), he was struck on the side of the head and knocked off his stool.

The guy fled and security & police were way too late. BUT another customer apparently got a cell pic of the criminal's license plate. And the bartender saw everything (but why the f**k didn't he do anything then?!). Hopefully this coward will be found.

What really pisses me off is that among the 6 of us Blaze brothers, that eldest brother is the "Nice Guy" among us. A true gentle giant. Imagine a physically big, adult Charlie Brown. Hell, he doesn't even drink. Mistaken identity? Some random nut case? Who knows? My brother said his head has been hurting the last couple of days.

I'd love to find that scumbag and torture him for a few days.

To all of the petty and small minded TRF members who would actually get annoyed at someone who doesn't have the thirty bucks to shell out for an R40 dvd of a show she already has, you can all go f**k off.

Is some one upset? :P

Yes, I'm upset.

I'm tired of the fanboys and fanatics.

I'm 61 years old, not some starry-eyed kid. I have responsibilities.

It's pathetic that some here can get past their obsessions.

You go, gurl!

I'm with you, btw. I have better things to do with my money...

What a POS. Who knows why people do these things...I had a similar incident just last month. I went into a fast food restaurant to get something to eat and when I came out and was walking back to my car, the woman in the passenger seat at the drive thru was yelling stuff to me. I got in my car, went to pull out of there, and the car was stopped where they should have been leaving the lot after getting their food and she still had her head out the window yelling at me. WTF? I didn't do a damn thing but some people are just a-holes. As mentioned, either they are mistaking you for someone else or just worthless human beings.

Sorry it happened to your brother. :(

It wasn't the bartender's fault of course but I figure that since he works there he's got a responsibility to at least TRY to stop it. Pussy!

And then that c***sucker hits my bro in the side of the head when he's not looking?! Then runs away to his car?!! What an even bigger pussy!!!

That happened once to my 75 year old Uncle at the LaBrea Tar Pits. Some nut job thought my uncle was standing to close and asked "Do you want a lesson in territorial prerogative?" , and just clocked him out of the blue.

Like Lorraine noted...too many nutjobs out there.

What's your top Asian beer?

That's tough. Of the big name beers in Japan though, I'd go with Sapporo or Suntory Premium Malt. Not a big fan of Asahi, though I'll drink it if there's nothing else. Kirin is okay but nothing special.

I just went to a Japanese beer festival two weeks ago matter of fact. Was held in a major park with the backdrop of Osaka castle and the city. The festival had nothing but local Japanese beers that are hard to get. Some really tasty and unique stuff. I wish I had my full memory! Ha! Seriously though, these beer festivals are becoming more popular AND frequent thank god! Look forward to the next one!

I will say that Chinese beers tend to be really weak. A lot of the ones I was having when I visited there were 2-3%. I drank those from the massive bottles that they were sold in. But I felt nothing because they were so weak and it was so hot. I just sweated it out. I don't drink to get trashed. I want something delicious. But those may as well have been water.

One of the scariest things that ever happened to me occurred in the seventies on a subway in NYC. I used to wear a lot of rings - one on almost each finger. A man got on the train and sat down across from me. He kept staring at my fingers. Finally, he said to me with the most macabre look on his face: Wouldn't it be funny if someone chopped all your fingers off?

Fortunately, the train was slowing into a station. If he hadn't gotten off, I would have.

The same type of scum that beats up and kills an 88 year old man like we had happen here about a year ago.

A lot of scum around these days,

Always be aware of what is going on around you no matter what.

I get up every day at about 5:30 AM. I have to go out and feed the cats. It's, as you know, dark at that time. But, Troutman, every time I walk out my front door, I hear those words that you told me a few months ago when our "neighbors" still lived here: "Always be aware of what is going on around you no matter what."

And since you guys dont have a gun,

Have some mace or at least a knife. :madra: It might sound paranoid to some. But you can never take stuff like this for granted.
