To all of the petty and small minded TRF members who would actually get annoyed at someone who doesn't have the thirty bucks to shell out for an R40 dvd of a show she already has, you can all go f**k off.

Is some one upset? :P

Yes, I'm upset.

I'm tired of the fanboys and fanatics.

I'm 61 years old, not some starry-eyed kid. I have responsibilities.

It's pathetic that some here can get past their obsessions.

Its TRF,

Sh** happens! :codger: :P

I don't know what happened here in the past few days but I'm not buying an R40 DVD and I don't give a flying hoot what anyone thinks about it. :madra: :hug2:

I am not massively into Rush atm, and quite frankly I never truly enjoy any of their live stuff.

Would rather spend that money on important things, like Springsteen bed throws or Bon Jovi pyjamas.

The first sentence is completely understandable. The second is utterly disturbing.

Will eat them as I cozy up in my Slippery When Wet PJ's and Brucey blankie.

Why would that upset you? It's just a cocky opinion. I didn't even know an R40 DVD is available or will be available (soon?). A month later their opinion won't matter. Hell, NOW their opinion doesn't matter.

I only eat food that looks like it might eat me first.

Makes it unpredictable!

(Not always easy when I am trying to grill steak, but I like a good challenge!)

What upset me was the fact that a few got upset because I didn't want to shell out money for something I already had. I have bootlegs from the tour. I think I have three or four complete shows. The only thing different in the R40 official dvd is the location of the concert - Toronto. It seemed a few couldn't understand why anyone wouldn't want to do that because, after all, its RUSH.

Johnny, you can pre-order it now on Amazon. I think the official release date is November 20th or something like that.

Gonna be honest as I always try to be but I am tired of hearing about the R40 thing and the trailer thing too already. How many threads do we need about the same thing? I will end up getting it eventually most likely hopefully as a gift from somebody who cares about. Maybe Christmas or something...

Still not sure why it'd upset you so much that someone commenting/ripping about NOT buying some Rush thang (regardless of having the same tour recordings/DVDs already). I'm in no rush to buy such stuff...the last live Rush I bought was the Time Machine tour DVD and I didn't like it. I watched it twice when I first got it and it's been sitting inside the cabinet ever since.

I forgot who it was on here but years ago some music elitist type commented that compilation or "best of..." CDs were for "soccer moms". He went on to state this and that negative thing about compilations. This was despite the fact that he liked all or most of the songs on such collections. How could a collection of songs (that someone likes) placed on a single cd be a bad cd? It made/makes no sense. Still, the comment got many laughs and many agreed. But so what? It's simply an opinion (among dozens) that I thought was wank. But nothing to be upset about. The end. Actually now as I type, I remember who it was that said those things. He had all kinds of holier than thou type comments but again, so what?

As far as getting the new one from Amazon, thanks. And as I said, I'm in no hurry. Besides, I don't even know if it'd be region compatible.

I was stuck on the highway today for over an hour as there was an accident about 3 miles ahead that closed 2 of 3 lanes. I checked the news and could not find any write up, so hopefully that means no one was injured.

Good thing I travel with lots of music.

Having my last night winnings at the casino being negated (and then some) by having to replace my tire after it blew out on the way home. :rage:

Look at the bright side - it cost you nothing to replace your tire. :)

That happens often (actually more than often) to me which is why when I get an unexpected financial windfall from somewhere I get paranoid.

Oh it cost me. My casino winnings were probably about $60 and the tire was about $150.

But at least it didn't cost me as much.
