Money. Struggling to get by lately. I was interviewed for a job a few weeks ago that I felt went pretty well, but lo and behold I get a letter in the mail yesterday saying I didn't get it and they "wish me the best in all my future endeavors". sad.gif

Just gotta keep applying to different places.

Girlfriend broke up with me... Seems like my love life is just a broken record with the track "Me Getting Screwed Over" being played repeatedly.

*hug*

Made a little better by Babycat and getting the 2112th post. <img src='<!--url[0]-->default/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Messed up my back. In a bad way. Spent the afternoon in the ER. I now move around like an 80-year-old.

On the upside... they did give me some awesome muscle relaxers and pain meds.

Sorry to hear this,back pain is bad. But a few pills ,nice glass of wine and you will be allll goooodddddd.... LOL

Yeah, I am feeling pretty good and relaxed right now! And pain-free. I've never had serious back pain before. You never realize how important it is to have a good back until it's out of commission. I couldn't walk right, couldn't use stairs, couldn't sit, lay down... anything. I was screaming like I was in labor when they needed me to move around for x-rays.

Treeduck: It happened when I was enjoying a nice, quiet afternoon in the garden. I twisted and bent sideways, while holding something heavy, at the same time and then my back got really mad at me.

Have been bragging a bit too much about my eyesight - as in, yes, my hips and ears are shot, I have colitis, but dammit, I can freaking see better than anyone.

Seriously, though, something is bad wrong with my left eye. It is swollen (the actual eyeball, not the flesh around it), tender, very bloodshot and light-sensitive. It started a little over a week ago but wasn't too bad so I gave it my usual medical treatment: Google the symptoms, take a ton of Aleve, and ignore it. But it really got bad late yesterday and today. I have an ophthalmologist appointment (first ever) in the morning.

Once you get over 40 I've noticed you have to be careful. You get all these twinges and pulls that you never got before. I've not had anything as bad as yours sounds like but yeah you got to watch it. Get well soon!

Lesson learned: do not mess around when it comes to your eyes. I have anterior uveitis, which if left untreated can cause a bunch of other problems including blindness.

Steroid drops every 2 hours and I have to go back for a recheck next week.

Yikes! That sounds really scary. Hopefully you get good news during the recheck.

Thanks! 24 hours later and it feels SO much better. It's much less bloodshot and light-sensitive. Sunday/Monday it really got painful; I was walking around with my head tilted at a weird angle and my left eye squinted to avoid light. The inflamed part of the eye includes the iris, so every time the iris expanded or contracted in response to light, it hurt.
