It seems that many Rush fans have 3 songs that are their least favorite. In no particular order, "Tai Shan", "Virtuality", and "Dog Years". If that is the case with you, what is the 4th worst song Rush has ever put on a studio release?

There`s often chatter about Anagram (for Mongo) not being a career highlight. It was probably more fun to write than it is for us to listen to.

The lyrics are kinda fun to read, even if they're not true anagrams. Some of the lines are clever, like "There's tic toc in atomic," but as song lyrics they're awful. And they're made worse by the music, which was mailed in and has no life whatsoever.

Ahhh, Tai Shan and Dog Years in particular are fracking awesome!

Dog Years, Virtuality, and Tai Shan don’t touch might bottom 5, which as I recall goes like this:

5. You Bet Your Life

4. The Speed Of Love

3. Heresy

2. Neurotica

1. Faithless

Honestly Anagram could be bottom 5 for me as well. And I’m a fan of Presto.

4. The Speed of Love (Neil's worst lyrics ever) :(

3. Dog Years (Bad lyrics, one-dimensional music) :boo hiss:

2. Spindrift (Bad lyrics, music and vocals) :boo hiss: :boo hiss:

1. Wish Them Well (Blatant pilfering of another song's melody, weak lyrics, worst backing vocals ever, a stain on an otherwise magnificent album)

Half the World takes every spot in the bottom ten, so that one.

The lyrics to Half the World wouldn't be considered profound in a third grade poetry contest.

Speed of Love

Good News First

I Think I'm Going Bald

Musically I think the first two are ok, while the third one is too juvenile. I think the CONCEPT of all three is just wrong, and maybe that's what rubs fans the wrong way when it comes to Tai Shan, Dog Years etc...

Which one?

Are you kidding? It's Carve Away The Stone, clearly.

I actually like Virtuality. The instrumental is great, and while the lyrics are weird, I think they've written worse ones

There's definitely a similar guitar pattern going on, outlining similar chords in a similar order. It's not the exact same riff, and I'm not sure I'd really call it the melody in Carve Away The Stone, since Geddy is singing something completely different over top of it. I think the more blatant riff pilfering is Headlong Flight's similarity to Bastille Day, but I hardly care.
