Shall we start off the new NFL Season with yet another obscenely BIG MONEY contract?

Aaron Rodgers gets $200 million dollars for a 4-year extension. Guaranteed money: $153 million.

It's not about the money.

(It's about the money.)

Wilson and a 4 to the Broncos for Lock, Fant, 2 1s, 2 2s, a 5 and some guy I've never heard of.

Edit: Shelby Harris is the other guy.

Aw, shit. AFC -- and the AFC West -- just gets harder.

I guess this means Dak is now the second-best QB in the NFC!

Some may disagree, but I think Seattle won that trade.

DK Metcalf will be more pouty than ever now, as he will see the ball even less.

FUKK PETE CARROLL!!

This is a guy so bad at drafting/ trades (Jamal Adams!) and other ways to construct a roster he couldn't fukking win with a QB headed for the HOF. Paul Allen is spinning in his grave right now.

I might add that Pete Carroll wasn't smart enough to hand the ball to the NFL's best RB on 1st and goal at the 1 1/2 yard line to put your win likelihood at 99%. Should I be surprised this is how it's turned out?

FUKK Pete Carroll!!

Seahawks release Bobby Wagner

This is a move I agree with. His play really tailed off last season and he was at time hesitant and seemed to be avoiding contact. I love you Bobby. IMO you are a first ballot HOFer, but it's time. Just retire and don't tarnish your legacy.

So Attention Whore Rodgers made it clear that he hasn't signed a new contract, only that he's returning to Green Bay. Got to extend that drama and stay in the news cycle, eh Erin? You're so boring dude. Wondering if the news of the Wilson trade upstaging his news pissed him off so he decided he needed to drag it out so people will talk about him more and more and more and...........

Disclaimer: I actually was a huge Packers fan in the 60s when they had Starr, Nitschke, et. al. and still have a soft spot for them so this is not a GB hate post. But good God I can't stand Rodgers.

Oh, Jerruh....you should be fruitful, you should multiply and you should be proud of it!

Why so secret, Jerruh? Non-disclosure agreements & payments are unbecoming for such a fine, upstanding family man....

Cowboys trying to give Cooper away! At least trade him for Jarvis Landry and some picks! Maybe that woman suing Jerreh should just take the Cowboys, instead. She couldn't do much more meh.

Via Tom Pelissero:

The #Vikings are signing Pro Bowl QB Kirk Cousins to a one-year, $35 million fully guaranteed extension that puts him under contract through 2023, per sources.

Cousins gets a raise to $40 million in 2022, $55 million payable by next March and a no-trade clause.

So who's the bigger attention whore, Brady or Rodgers?

Rodgers by a mile.

Well, that was quick. I hope he learned some from watching Josh Allen for a year!

And even with Trubisky, your team is in a better place at QB than mine.

Fukk Pete Carroll

So how would you like to be the guy that shelled out a half-million bucks for Brady's last touchdown pass ball right now?

Not.

To spend that much in the first place - kind of deserve it.
