Maverick Posted February 22, 2022 Share Posted February 22, 2022 I don't think he talked about the technique of playing/arpeggiating a barre chord and leaving the B and high E strings open while moving the shape up and down the neck. Alex is tied at #1 for my favorite guitarist of all time with Brian May, and Art Of Guitar totally nailed so many of the little odds and ends that make Alex's playing so unique. I especially loved how he led right off with some Power Windows, just to really give credit where credit is due for Alex taking the synth era in stride and finding incredible things to play he'd never have tried in the 70s.
