Dave should have known better by the time they released Supercollider. No excuse for an album that bad that late into his career. My thoughts exactly. When I discovered Megadeth, Risk was in the past (United Abominations was almost out). So I had a good time following them. Then Supercollider came out and I was not impressed. I feel the same with Machine Head returning to nu metal on Catharsis. See, I don’t think there’s anything really offensively bad on Supercollider; it’s just not memorable to me at all. The last several on my list that are just above Risk- from about Cryptic Writings on down- there’s just nothing on those albums that I think to myself, oooh, I want to listen to that again!* (*with no disrespect intended to Cristina Scabbia) Cristina turns 50 this year.
