I haven’t heard them all, but I’ve heard a lot of them:

1.RIP/CTE

3. PSBWB

4. Endgame

5. Youthanasia

6. SFSGSW

7. Dystopia

8. KIMBABIG

And it’s all better than Load/ReLoad from Dave’s old band.

(Re)Load is still better than Risk, though. A boring album that will cure your insomni-omni-omnia!

I actually don't mind Load. Reload, on the other hand, is a chore to listen to after the 1st 3rd of the album. Megadeth is hit or miss after CTE.

Load and ReLoad suffer from the same problem at every scale: bloating. Albums are 2 long and monotonous, songs are too long and monotonous, this era of Metallica is too long and monotonous... I might prefer ReLoad by a hair just because Fuel is pretty fun. Haven't heard Risk yet, but I've been told by many to avoid it like the plague. I think he next Megadeth album I'll check out will either be Cryptic Writings or United Abominations (or whatever their new one is). Also Dave may be inconsistent after CTE, but he fires often enough that the hits start to build up into a better catalogue than "once-every-8-years-or-something" Metallica, Anthrax, and Slayer of the post 90s world.

You had covid, right? You were more fortunate to have caught that over having to listen to Risk. That album and Super Collider are the only times since Countdown that Megadeth flat out sucked. When it comes to consistently releasing good albums, they're one of the best in metal.

Peace sells

Sfsgsw

Rip

Cte

Kimbabig

Youthanasia

After that when Marty left they were never the same imo.

The system has failed being the best in my eyes post Friedman. Thanks to Chris Poland but it's more a solo Mustaine disc than deth.

Look at the credits.

And Vinnie Colaiuta plays drums on the whole album!

Megadeth are the best and the worst of thrash in one band!

But I love more of their discography than I hate

My favourite album is Risk, my least favourite is Rust In Pe...

Jokes.

I don't know if I can rank this band, I love a lot of their albums about the same, and literally what I don't love I straight up hate I do not have a middle ground like I do with, say, Metallica or Judas Priest.

Interesting, lol.

I did try but I had about 46 Megadeth albums on my top five alone.

I can see that. Dave should have known better by the time they released Supercollider. No excuse for an album that bad that late into his career.

My thoughts exactly. When I discovered Megadeth, Risk was in the past (United Abominations was almost out). So I had a good time following them. Then Supercollider came out and I was not impressed.

I feel the same with Machine Head returning to nu metal on Catharsis.

See, I don’t think there’s anything really offensively bad on Supercollider; it’s just not memorable to me at all. The last several on my list that are just above Risk- from about Cryptic Writings on down- there’s just nothing on those albums that I think to myself, oooh, I want to listen to that again!*
