Brady has earned every one of his rings.

With help from Adam Vinatieri on a few of those.

And Matt Ryan. And Pete Carroll. And Jared Goff.

And all of his fellow Patriots, too! Teams win (and lose) championships.

Adam Vinatieri earned his rings, just like Charles Haley earned his 5 rings (with the help of his teammates).

That's 5. What about the other 2?

Donovan McNabb's digestive system and the sieve that was the KC offensive line.

McNabb throwing up plus them having our playbook :)

I am with the idea of marketing. Gotta keep them merchandise dollars flowing.

The greatest NFL player ever.

Quitter, there is more to prove. Seven rings? No, you go for ten. 22 years? Punk, you go for a quarter century.

Otherwise you might as well eat, drink and smoke like Ben Rothlisburger.

He just announced he will enter the hall as a Buc. Man, there's some bad blood there with Bill.

My cousin from Boston is gonna be pissed.

If that news was any more fake, it would be on CNN.

Actually, he left the field in SB 42 with a 4-point lead and 2:42 left on the clock. He left the field in SB 46 with a 2-point lead and 3:46 left on the clock. In SB 52, he threw for 505 yards and had a 115.4 QB rating. Like everyone else on those teams, he played a role in the losses. But, with apologies to the bromides we tell kids about group credit and blame for a game's outcome, he's not the first place to look when wondering why the Patriots haven't won 10 Super Bowls this century.

The G.O.A.T.

According to Spotrac, $15 million of Brady’s $20 million signing bonus was deferred to Feb. 4, 2022. If Brady retires before Friday, he will give up the bonus money.

The 44-year-old could certainly be leaning towards calling it quits. After all, he has had a very successful career. However, he may just be waiting for one last very nice sized chunk of change before saying he’s done.

And he’s earned that.

Should Brady decide to continue to the 2022 season, Spotrac notes his entire salary would be guaranteed but voided if he decides to retire.

Unlikely. Tampa still owns his rights and he doesn't want to play for them if Arians is still the coach.

Boston sports radio is losing its mind because Brady did not mention New England anywhere in his statement.

Actually that is quite a douche move, if thats the case. many/most other athletes would definitely mention the city that embraced them for decades.

Yeah, an obvious FU to Belichick and Kraft.

But it doesnt screw them as much as millions of fans up there. He could have done it in a way (if he didnt, I dont know what he said) that explicitly recognized the fans and the team exclusive of those two. And whether they are douches or not, they helped him - they helped give him and coach a team that got him to where he was. Its a douche move.
