Now all they need is the league to contract by about 50% and they're back in business.

Well, the league should actually do that anyway. Switch to a 2-tier system

The league has shrunk already, it seems.  With the Reds sporting a .120 winning percentage, they're a veritable ghost squad.  Ah well, it's early in the season.

The Reds have some good bats, but their pitching staff is a mess.  Votto will soon be back from the Covid list.

They just missed making the playoffs last year, but then their owner dumped a lot of salary.  Shame on him.

Baseball History: Cleveland's Josh Naylor had eight RBI's in their 12-9 win over the White Sox (11 innings).

An RBI double in the 8th inning.
A 2-out grand slam in the 9th to tie the game.
A 2-out 3-run homer in the 11th to win the game.

First MLB hitter to have 8 RBI's from the 8th inning on.

First MLB hitter to have multiple 3-run homers or better after the 9th inning.

Royals score 14 runs! I'm ecstatic, right? Oh, wait -- they give up 10, and watching Josh Staumont do his pre-glasses Rick Vaughn impression was just stressful.

Yeesh; can't even enjoy the rare wins!

Brewers 1 (on a wild pitch)

Braves 0

The ball park must have hit 100 degrees from all the heat thrown!

Josh Hader is 14/14 in save opportunities this year.

Two Cubs made their MLB debuts tonight.

The pitcher, Brandon Hughes, struck out five of the six hitters he faced.   The hitter, Christopher Morel, hit one 417' for a home run in his only AB.

The biggest shock of the night?   A Dan Vogelbach triple.

After two games against the Braves at home, the Brewers have a grand total of one run (on a wild pitch).

They’re being tremendous slouches!

In 7 games at Wrigley, the Cubs have outscored the Pirates 47-15.  The Pirates have won 4 of the 7 games.
