Has anybody else followed this band so far or checked them out at all? I figured I would give them a try after digging their rockin' cover of The Four Seasons that started blowing up the charts, but I was not prepared to start playing their latest album on repeat, which is what I've been doing for the past two days. It's fantastic!! Yes yes most of the songs are in Italian, but what does that matter?? They totally rock! The production is good, the playing is good, the energy level is super high, and the songwriting seems to recall everything from The Stooges to Soundgarden to Franz Ferdinand! The band members all have such great charisma as well, and their image is straight out of 1973. This is brand new rock and roll history that's being written and, to my astonishment, becoming popular! What a terrible reason to write off a band. There aren't many bands touring now who don't have a bunch of ladies in the crowd recording them on their phones.

I did listen to the song and watch the video, and the music isn't my taste either. Think of the bands/singers that are appealing to mostly women. Bieber, BTS, N'Sync, etc. Not that their music is bad, but it's generally quite formulaic and almost exclusively pop. But, Wham! was also Pop music and I like some of their stuff, so that isn't the only measure.

I really don't think it's exclusively pop at all. It's very rock and roll. Did you only listen to the first song, that's definitely their poppiest track, not really a great representation of the rest of their sound.
