I admittedly haven't listened to much ELP lately, and I'm not even sure if I have Trilogy at hand. Not an album I've given much of a chance. My top three would be what I would have expected...

 

1) BSS

2) / 3) tossup between Tarkus and their self titled

You've certainly got my attention though on this glaring oversight in their catalog and will be correcting that as soon as I figure out the best way to get my Trilogy fix (especially if there's an affordable surround mix).

Given the time their S/T album was released, it's an amazing album.

 

Even when I first heard them as a kid (instant fan mind you, age like 9 or 10) in 1984-85 they sounded like no other band up to that point. Is that still true today? Well... MAYBE?!! :P
