Skiing Play List

Recommended Posts

I have a nice speaker system in my ski helmet and so in preparing for the upcoming ski season, I'm putting together a skiing playlist and I was wondering if anyone here had any suggestions. It needs to be up-beat and stuff that gets the adrenalin flowing. Stuff like Xanadu, Enter Sandman, Scorpions - Can't live without you, etc.

Thanks in advance for any input. :)

I like hearing the wind swoosh in my ears and head. I can hear music anytime.

Like Tangy, no music for me BUT a helmet is MUST.

Nah, hell no, back when I was young, I wanted to hear the sounds of skiing!

The slicing, flying, and landing of carving up a mogul field.

The hiss of my skis blasting down a speed run

The chatter of the skis of some moron about to cut me off or crash me.

The glug, glug, of wine or some other libation leaving a bota bag and going down my gullet.

Yeah, that was more like it.

We're talkin' alpine/downhill skiing here, obviously. After all, who wears a helmet for the superior form of skiing--cross country?

  • Ready, Steady, Go by Paul Oakenfold
  • Shame by Stabbing Westward
  • Rise by The Cult
  • I'm Not Trading by Sunna
  • Lazy Afternoon of the Jaguar by Turing Machine
  • Intro by The xx
  • Tidal Wave by The Laurels
  • The Walker (Roman Flügel Remix) by Dark Sky (suitable for deep powder)
  • Never Awake and Running Wild by Drenge
  • On the Loose by Saga

If you're doing the black diamonds:

  • Trouble by Lindsey Buckingham
  • Bored by Death Angel
  • Swerve City by Deftones
  • The Trees (ESL version) by Rush
  • Feed the Trees by Belly
  • D.O.A. by Van Halen
  • We Die Young by Alice in Chains
  • Hey Man, Nice Shot by Filter
  • After the Snow by Modern English

Those of us who use cross country skis for downhill purposes!

Telemark skier since 1990. XC beginning late 70's though it's been a while since I've kicked and glided deep in the woods.

Nice list

A must is right for resort and most backcountry skiing.

I have had my head whacked plenty of times

( in case you can't tell) both pre helmets and bike riding with helmets

There are better ways to kill brain cells than through impact.
