I had a dream that RUSH had a 20th studio album out in 2021

Obviously in the dream Neil was alive. I heard the album in my dream and it was kick ass! The best album since 1981 or 1980. Geddy's voice was peak quality, every song had a ripping melodic guitar solo, the songs were top quality with heavy riffs and cool synth parts, the drums were epic and the production was organic with perfect dynamics! As I was awakening I thought I'll listen to that new RUSH album again when I get up. But when I got up the album wasn't there...

I forget the name of it now but even the name was cool.

Dude!

We are connected! I too have had a dream about a new Rush album! In my dream I was actually at the tour for the new record and they were playing new stuff live! I actually woke up with a new Alex riff in my Rushhead!

If only we could record music from dreams!

I totally agree! Sometimes I wake up with new tunes in my head! But then they fade away into the morning air...........

Not to mention all the hot dream women I've had!

Damn dude! I know! Sex is free in our dreams!

But thanks to this thread I had a wild RUSH dream last night!

I was outside this huge outdoor stadium! It was for a reunited RUSH Concert! I didn't have a ticket though so I snuck in!

I was hiding by below some seats and security was coming around. Some fuckking Rush fan narced me out and started pointing at where I was hiding.

So I ran up into the concrete rafters. I was on Geddy's side of the stage way above.

RUSH came on stage. Neil was alive and well. Straight out of 1984. Short hair with tail on the big red Tama kit.

They opened up with the Everly Brothers "I'll I have To Do Is Dream." It was so real. They played it really slow.

I looked down at Geddy and he looked up at me and smiled.

I then thought to myself that I need to find a single ticket down in the front.

So I ran down to concessions. Then to the merch table. Then to the box office. It was closed.

I saw this woman who was working there holding a credit card machine.

I walked up to her and asked her if I could buy a seat in the front row.

She said that I was in luck. She had a few left.

Right when I took out my credit card some dude behind me handed her his credit card first.

I said... "Hey asshole, I was here first. He said... "that ticket is going to be 555 bucks." I said.. I don't give a fuckk!"

The woman said.... "he's right, 555 dollars please. I said.... "Sure! I don't care!"

I got my ticket and then I woke up........ the song "I'll I Have To Do Is Dream" was playing over and over in my head.

Crazy.

It's like the Earl/RUSH version of the movie TWO MINUTE WARNING. Was Charlton Heston in the dream??

One thing is quite apparent here: David Lynch was directing your dream.

You should have heeded Neil's advice and had the discipline to wrote it all down as soon as you got up. Otherwise, you do forget, and it doesn't take long.

I had a dream that Alex was fat, Geddy ran a bar and Neil was a cantankerous Irishman. Some goddawful polka band was playing at the bar but the tune kinda had potential. Then I woke up with nasty marks all over my body.... Edited by Malignant Narcissist

The topic of writing down music or something you've experienced in a dream is kind of interesting.

Some famous musician who's name eludes me (an R n B-style player I think) said he tried writing something down that he was dreaming about immediately after he woke up only to find that he was writing down a famous piece of music he listened to as a child!
