Out with Abbey Road. I like side one less and less as the years go by. Pepper isn't perfect, but is far more consistent, and deserves to hang around for another round.

I agree that Pepper isn't top tier, but it's historical importance alone does matter. I also voted Abbey for the same reason.

I voted The White Album off!

 

Although the experimental aspect of it is, in a way, part of what makes it cool... I tend to agree with Sir George Martin about making it into a very good single length album.

 

As I think I said in an earlier vote, these are all stellar albums to me, but... The White Album has more material that I actively dislike than any other record of theirs. Rocky Raccoon, Bungalo Bill, Honey Pie and Revolution 9 are a total waste of space to me. (#9, at least, is truly outside, as opposed to just dreadful.)

 

The White Album is also somehow...colder than the other records to me, in a way that pushes me away a bit. All that said, there are some tremendous songs on it...but I'll take Pepper, Revolver and Rubber Soul over it all day long.

It's brilliant, and I love that they made such a varied album, but the White Album has to go at this point. The remaining recordings are just on another level entirely.
