Ironic how Anthony Michael Hall is playing Paul Rudd's role in part 6 when his role in Vacation has been played by a different actor in each following movie. I'm 23 minutes in on Peacock and it wastes no time getting messy especially with the fire fighters. Damn!

 

Love seeing the pickaxe in the beginning as a nod to My Bloody Valentine.

Far from bad but that last kill really pissed me off and they elaborate way too much about what happened in the original to lead up to this. Nostalgia Critic made a good point in his review for this movie which happens to be a :rush: song title. Show, don't tell.

 

That last kill pissed me off even more than the beginning of Halloween Resurrection. That person was the voice of reason, ffs.

Sorry, I thought it sucked.

 

Most gory movie I think I've ever seen though.

 

I was so excited for this movie being a HALLOWEEN Freak! Waited over a year obviously to see it.

 

I was disappointed too. I thought the score was the best part of the film. Of course I'm a HUGE HIII guy so I was happy with that homage. Otherwise poor acting. Tommy Doyle really? Anthony Hall needs to retire!

 

As for Jamie Lee, I know they are setting her up for HALLOWEEN ENDS but come on! Back in the hospital again like in HALLOWEEN 2? UGH!!! LAME!

 

The mob scene. LAME! "EVIL DIES TONIGHT!" So stupid! They turned Michael into a senseless gory killing machine. I prefer the suspense light and dark in the shadows Michael.

Oh well! It's almost over and I really hope it ENDS!

 

By the way there are 13 Halloween films but all of them in the storyline of HALLOWEEN 2018 have been erased except for my favorite SEASON OF THE WITCH!! Yes, even HALLOWEEN 2 is erased.

 

Oh well! It is what it is.

Do you like the Rob Zombie "Halloween" Flicks? The first one is ok. Isn't "Tom Sawyer" in it?

Rushhead (Earl), Segue (Michael), and for anyone else, I've liked "Halloween III: Season of the Witch" a lot. I haven't liked Rob Zombie's "Halloween (2007)", and "Halloween II (2009)". I haven't watched, and seen "Halloween Kills", yet. Edited by Derek19

I am a bonafide Halloween junkie.

 

I liked Halloween Kills much better on my second and third viewing.....but there were a few things I loathe about it. Anthony Michael hall was a total miscast and I hated Tommy Doyles portrayal in this film. The entire hospital scene was just terrible. Everything else was damn good and man was this a brutal film. I am looking forward to Halloween Ends next year.

 

Halloween 2018 was excellent my third favorite in the entire series. This one was not in that movies league but it was an obvious middle entry into this new trilogy.

 

My rankings and I don’t include Halloween III (I love Halloween III big time but it is not Michael Myers so I view it as it’s own stand alone Carpenter Film).

Halloween 4 The Return of Michael Myers

Halloween 5 The Revenge of Michael Myers

Rob Zombies Halloween

I can't give it higher than 5/10. Thought it was well below the caliber of the 2018 sequel, which at least had some effective suspense and mystery. HK's opening flashback was impressive and really got my hopes up. And from there...... :facepalm:

 

I know it's a Halloween film and I don't expect high art, but the dialogue was just atrociously stupid. They take forever re-introducing old characters who add absolutely nothing to the story. And what a plan. Michael has survived gunshots and being set on fire, but enough of us with baseball bats should be able to take him out. Oh and that 5 foot tall overweight bald guy who just wandered into the hospital might be the same huge shape who's been overpowering everyone, so let's waste a bunch of time chasing him around.

 

And in the end we discover that Michael must have teleporting powers too. I'm still interested to see where they go with the finale, but man was this one a stinker.

Well Pat, "Halloween" is my all time favorite film.

 

"Halloween II" is ok. I actually love the synth score with the assistance of Howarth.

 

I absolutely LOVE "Halloween III" as you know.

 

Halloween 4 and 5 are ok.

 

I hate "Curse."

 

I hate the Zombie crap. Isn't "Tom Sawyer in the first Rob release?

 

After that? All crap.

 

But Pat, I LOVE HALLOWEEN H40 2018!

 

I thought it was incredible.

 

I was so excited for Halloween Kills. Then Covid hit and it was put on the shelf.

 

Sadly Pat, I thought Halloween Kills was terrible.

 

I guess I will be safe with spoilers, but let's just say I love the H3 in both movies.

 

Bad acting. Bad plot. Too much Tommy Doyle. Too much violence and senseless killing.

 

Michael was not like that at all in 1978!!

 

Anyway, I am going to give this movie one more chance tonight.

 

The Extended "Cut" is out. Get it? Bad pun. lol

 

Also this disc has an alternative ending!

 

All I can do is hope!

 

Still can't wait for "Halloween Ends." I really hope it's the last one!

I finally got around to upgrading my stereo system to 4K. I watched "A Clockwork Orange." My mind was blown. Malcolm and Pleasance are actually in my TOP 5 Actors of all time!! Nicholson Eastwood and Jamie Lee Curtis. The others.

 

I am so easy to figure out Pat. I think.

Halloween Kills My Soul.

 

I walked out on this movie in my living room to type on here tonight. This morning?

Whatever.

 

Halloween Kills is a horrific movie. Halloween II ripoff but with worse acting and a terrible score.

 

That fuckking idiot from The Breakfast Club should just retire and go back to his cardboard box.
