goose Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Other news sources are picking up the story. Damn. :rose: 1
The Cat 3 Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 :rose: :rose: :rose: Very sad news, indeed. Rest in peace, Mr. MacDonald. Thank you for making so many people smile and laugh. http://www.theglobaldispatch.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/Norm-MacDonald-Weekend-Update-SNL.png 6
blueschica Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Seriously? That's so sad. They have comedy channels on Sirius radio and his bits that they play are hilarious. And he was always the best on the SNL parodies of Jeopardy! There's one where he is playing Burt Reynolds wearing a huge floppy cowboy hat as a Jeopardy contestant and he is hysterical. I will miss him. RIP, Norm. :rose: 3
blueschica Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 What a struggle; I am reading that he battled cancer for nine plus years. RIP. 1
Principled Man Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 He was one of the funniest comedians ever. He was to me. 3
bluefox4000 Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 this one really sucks. i loved him. his off-beat awkward style was genius. RIP Norm. Mick 2
Rushman14 Posted September 14, 2021 Author Posted September 14, 2021 Norm MacDonald on battles with cancer: “I’m pretty sure, I’m not a doctor, but I’m pretty sure if you die, the cancer dies at the same time. That’s not a loss. That’s a draw.” 8
Timbale Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Damn it. An all time great, taken way too soon. A favourite among many, many favourites of his stuff is when he did a set at the roast of Bob Saget. Knowing those things are famously dirty and offensive, MacDonald's set is made up of the most inoffensive dad jokes possible. His commitment to that bit is so goddamn funny. 3
driventotheedge Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 RIP Norm. You left a very funny legacy. Thank you. 1
lerxt1990 Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 What a loss. What a unique and hilarious comedian. Poop. 1

blueschica Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Celebrating his work! "Nah, it's correct!" 3
KenJennings Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 I've had a link to this video in my signature for many years. It is my favorite joke of all time, and probably always will be.
78jazz Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 this one really sucks. i loved him. his off-beat awkward style was genius. RIP Norm. Mick This probably explains why I liked him on Weekend Update so much. What a bummer. 1
Derek19 Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 (edited) The news is true. I'm sorry, to hear, see, and read this. I think some of the comedian work including his own he did was funny. He will be missed, and remembered. My condolences, and sympathies, to his family, and friends. R.I.P., Norm. Edited May 30, 2022 by Derek19
laughedatbytime Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Shit. He was hilarious. Maybe the Olympics will institute the Summer Olympic biathlon in his honor. Run the 100 meter dash and then fish. RIP, Norm! 1
J2112YYZ Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Very sad. As others said he was a great comedian. He was one of the top guys on SNL at a time when I watched the show regularly. Check out his last Netflix special he did a few years ago. Great stuff! Was really looking forward to a new one from him now that people are allowed to go to things again. Damn. RIP
librarian Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Rest in Peace, Norm MacDonald. Thank you for making me smile and laugh. :sundog:
