Foo Fighters-Medicine At Midnight (9/10)

i fail to see the problem here. i like it better than C & G. which i also played yesterday. and it's great too but felt a bit long as well.

yea i adore this one.

Such a fun time. I like it better than C&G too, and I was a big C&G defender when it came out. That record is like a love letter to the 70s, but it's a little more style than substance.

C & G is great but i remember coming to Dirty water......and that song just went on and on and on and on. it's only 5 minutes but it felt endless. there a couple other moments where it was like i know it's a retro album but you're too obvious, lol

again love it.

but Medicine sounds like they had fun making it and i like almost everything.

with standouts being

Shame Shame

Cloudspotter

Medicine At midnight

Holding Poison

Chasing Birds (love this!!!)

Love Dies Young (maybe the best closer they've done)

so sue me this is a fun carefree album.

Newest addition to my all time favorite albums list since I got into them 7 years ago. That album blows my mind every time.

Blew me away in 1981 (or whenever it was released) - I remember the anticipation as the needle was dropping on Side 1...

I was sorry to see this one leave the elimination poll so early - i think it's the best thing they've done in a while.

Dream Theater- Distance Over Time (9/10)

Dream Theater- The View From The Top Of The World (8/10)

New album is getting better and better to me, and something I noticed playing these two albums back to back is how much The Alien sounds like the middle ground of both albums styles, it's like the new album is the next step after DoT and they are great back to back albums that I think together work very well.
