This thing is fantastic! The sound is great, the playing is killer, and the songs are tight and punchy (aside from a brief acoustic respite which is a lovely throwback to a bygone era of the band). I don't mind power ballads when they're done well, and while All I Wanted isn't the greatest one ever written, it serves its purpose adding some dynamics to the record on side 1. Can't Cry Anymore is fantastic as a closer, the band really giving it all the power they've got. It's a cover? Oh well, great job! I'd been intending to get this record for a while because I had a feeling it might sound something like this, and I'm quite happy I was right. Meets expectations, but my expectations were pretty high! I enjoy Power a lot as well! One of my favourite Kansas albums is Drastic Measures.
