Nice!  In the same vein, I re-visited Frampton Comes Alive and Wings Over America.  The 70s had great live albums

Two absolute classics right there. The 70s had so many amazing live albums...

...up next, for me, is Thin Lizzy "Live and Dangerous".

It's one of those albums that I didn't really like at first, but it's become one of my favourites of theirs.

Saxon are such an endearing band. They honestly never come close to the likes of Priest or Maiden but my god, I love them. There is a certain homely, very British feeling to their music that hits softer than their peers, but I enjoy it immensely. I've got their first nine studio albums, Saxon up to Destiny, and I really enjoy them all.

I listened to their 2009 album, Into the Labyrinth, last week. I also have that one on a picture disc. I've been wanting to do a Saxon binge again. They removed a bunch of their albums from Apple Music though, so about 20 years worth of studio albums, and some live albums are missing.

This is why I need my physical media. I have a box set of ten albums, the first nine plus the first live album.

I enjoy them a lot. Like way more than I ever expected.

It took me some time this morning to digest the tragic news about Jeff Beck.

As a tribute to Jeff, I listened to this in the afternoon ........

Alice In Chains - Dirt

It's been in the car for a week or so.  Such a great, great album.

IMO easily the best album of the grunge era.  it's not even a discussion for me.

I get it, but I just don't get the grunge

To me, more than any other band, AIC are simply straight up metal.

I love them. I'd highly recommend Into The Labyrinth if you haven't heard it. I just don't use CDs much anymore. I use Apple Music and vinyl for pretty much everything. If something isn't on Apple Music, then I might invest in a CD, rip it, and listen on my phone.

Queen: Queen

The Queenmaster may be pleased to hear that a few years ago -- at the tender age of 51ish -- I finally became a Queen fan. My entire life I had always found them rather ... meh. I don't know what was wrong with me, lolol.

They do lose me somewhere around Jazz, though I do enjoy Innuendo.

For me it’s Superunknown.

Dirt is great though.

Yay!! It’s never too late to find the Queen album that does it for you! I always say they’ve got at least one song for everyone.

Giving this one a listen right now.  It's from 1984, but it plays like the 70s.

I can’t wait until you dig into the brilliant Queen II.

There was a time I preferred Queen I to Queen II, that time lasted like a couple months at most after I first heard both of them.

Then, of course, "Sheer Heart Attack" came along!

Of subject, a bit, but what was the order that you bought the Queen albums?
