The groove in Black Cow sounds like something a pimp walks down the street to 😄

Love this album. Mikael Akerfeldt of Opeth talked this one years ago and I gave it a listen. Lots of great stuff on there. Like Here Come the Tears, Sinner (which I saw live in 2018!), and Dissident Aggressor!

Oh wow! Yes I still love the album, I think it likely it's still my favourite but I am thoroughly enjoying other records of theirs more than before. It just has a genuinely unique atmosphere and the songwriting is so varied!

Steely Dan-Royal Scam (10/10)

This is easily the best Dan album by yards to me.  The polish is starting to creep up i admit but the blistering guitar running through helps maintain the edge i love.

I love every song.

This is not only my fav Dan album but easily an all timer for me.

Entombed and Death followed by Taylor Swift is quite the musical change 😄

Yeah, I mean everyone knows Chuck could never write a riff as heavy as Taylor for starters. And it just seems unfair to Entombed to have to share the bill with someone as metal as Swift. I don’t think they’d have a chance irl with their fragile little tunes.

:p

I didn't think anything of my listening choices until I shared it here 😂

The Death influence on Swift is undeniable.

Lorna Shore- Pain Remains

This new album is breathtaking. Some beautiful lyrics, the most powerful and varied extreme vocals I have heard in a long time, beautiful orchestration and soaring riffs. The entire album works, and some of these lyrics are really impactful, and tender:

We're dancing like flames, flickering in the night

We sway in time with the wind before melting away

You're far from my reach but not far out of sight

You know the way to my heart but you just play the strings again

Flicker like shadows dancing beyond the flame

Captivate, hypnotized by the fire in her eyes

You took me by surprise

And then you disappeared in the blink of an eye

Pull me into the pyre

Engulf me in flames

Captivate me, eidolon, gravity

Magnetic, pull me toward my ecstasy

I see this band getting better, and I'm liking them more and more.
