Over the past 2 days i've gone Genesis Adjacent

Phil Collins-Hello I must Be Going (9/10

No Jacket Required (8/10)

But Seriously (9/10

and

Peter Gabriel

So (9/10

Us (8/10)

I've also started Listening differently. usually i'm doing other things while listening. I've now taken to pulling up lyrics and just.....listening. i haven't done that in years.....let me say. you get so much more out of an album this way. no distractions. and you almost get a vibe of when these old albums were new and what it felt like to listen for the first time.

as a result......i Appreciate the album So a TON more. Us is very underrated too.

I like where this band is going. They might just make it big time.

That kind of listening changes everything and really puts an album to the test.

Paul Simon-Graceland (7/10)

I love Pau Simon......this is considered a masterpiece.....he used or appropriated (i'm not saying which depends on who you ask....i stay neutral, lol) African rhythms and culture here. it's not really my cup of tea.

On top of that. Paul was always known to be a little cute-sy and precious lyrically...........and god this album stinks of paul just whimsey-ing it up and i could vomit.......it's obnoxious on this record.

album subtext- " i'm so witty and cute........GOD am i whimsical!!!! :laughing guy: :laughing guy: :laughing guy: :rage: :rage: :rage: :rage: yea shut it Simon, lol

Alice in Chains-Dirt (10/10)

Easily my fav album from the "grunge" era and it's not close. a really dark brutal affair that normally would be hard to listen too but man is it addicting. )really sad pun cause the album is in part like an addict's diary) i played it 3 times yesterday, lol

Some older stuff last night -

519rGrAQg5L._AC_.jpg

Classic Young/Crazy Horse ... I never tire of it.

The Visitor by Arena.

This is my favourite Arena album and if you haven't heard it I would thoroughly recommend giving it a try!

One of my favoutite Wishbone Ash albums.

For the benefit of you US and Canadian folks who may not be familiar with the sport, the cover depicts a cricketer rubbing his balls, sorry, I mean rubbing the ball!
