I've been on a Magnum run these past few days:

Kingdom Of Madness

Magnum II

Chase The Dragon

Eleventh Hour

On A Storytellers Night

Vigilante

Vigilante 35 years old today too and the last Magnum tour that I saw. Where did those years go?

Great band and often overlooked, sadly

Indeed. A fine band. We have seen them a few times and they always put on a great show.

The Sunday night jukebox-

Graveyard-Star-Mostly-Autumn.jpg?resize=500%2C447&ssl=1

New album from Mostly Autumn

Cover-1.jpeg?ssl=1

An interesting project from Andy Tillison, Jonas Reingold & Roberto Tiranti. A homage to the great Itailian prog albums of the '70s.

Finally, a Mountain double header.

Night Ranger- Midnight Madness (9/10)

Mariah Carey- Caution (9/10)

Rush- Roll The Bones (9/10)

Biffy Clyro- Similarities (9/10)

Tremonti- Marching In Time (8/10)

The new Tremonti is more Tremonti doing what Tremonti does best. He clearly loves what he does, and I feel Tremonti has a more authentic metal edge than Alter Bridge. I also find myself these days more drawn to Tremonti as a singer.

This new album is brilliant.

Alice Cooper - Detroit Stories (first time listen)

Alice's voice does not change, at all, like, not one tiny bit. He is the exact same on record as he was 50 years ago. Dang. Also this album rocks and I loved many of the songs immediately!

I just saw him live last week with Ace Frehley, and he was amazing. His band is incredibly tight, the theatrics were incredible, and his voice still sounds great.

:goodone: Hands down one of the finest guitar players that has ever lived.

Great to see live, too, when he's doing his one man band solo thing..!

I was fortunate to promote two concerts with Phil, a truly nice person as well.

I've seen him a bunch of times over the years...you're right, he is incredible live.

Mariah Carey- Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel (6/10)

First half is near perfect, but the album just fades into late 2000s monotony. Not her best work, but it has some real gems (all non-singles, as per usual).

Dream Theater- Distance Over Time (9/10)

I have no qualms about putting this album in my top five DT albums. I love it start to finish.
