RushFanForever
What makes Charlie Watts unique is that he was using 'water towers' as drums in the 'Love Is Strong' video, LOL. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Te6VBiRjhqA The video was filmed in New York City. Ron2112
There would have been no Rush had these guys not paved the way for them. I should add that when Rush started out as a band, they played covers, which included Rolling Stones songs. That's part and parcel of a music act performing at bars and high school dances where playing the well-known hits is an essential thing to get people dancing. When Rush released the Feedback covers album, did they include Rolling Stones songs on the list? The answer is no. Which means nothing, really. They also didn't include covers by Hendrix or Zeppelin, because they felt they couldn't do them justice. Nor did they include covers from Yes, Genesis, or Pink Floyd, but have acknowledged all of them as being immense influences.
Rick N. Backer
Here's the thing. The Stones are one of the very few bands in history who could play a 2 hour set of only their extremely well-known songs, and fans would still come away saying, "I can't believe they didn't play X," with X being another extremely well-known song.

Syrinx
Very cool to hear Steve Gadd talk about Charlie like that. I value his opinion much more than the haters who think Charlie Watts wasn't that good of a drummer.
