I voted but, no offense intended here, I have better things to fantasize about in my dreams. :codger:

That was a good mood.

I'm thinking exclusively of the early Peter Green-era Fleetwood Mac, a great British R&B band. That band whips Chicago (even early Chicago) down the line, but the later, soap opera rock of Fleetwood Mac is merely okay. Still, I like "Tusk," so there's that.

I was never that fussed on Chicago so it is Fleetwood Mac all the way!

In terms of fantasies, forget about guitarists, it's Stevie Baby for me!

I've known for a long time that early Chicago was apparently really really good.

Several weeks ago I decided to actually listen to those early albums. I knew Hendrix thought Kath was excellent, I loved the early hits, but coming of record buying age during Chicago's saccharine era was bad timing.

After listening to those early Chicago records, the Kath era, I was very impressed.

I voted for Mac, but early Chicago was excellent.

Fixed.

I would find this far more interesting.

So many talented musicians in Chicago. I don't think it's a fair comparison. What about EWF vs Chicago?

Anyway, I love them both. Grew up with my dad playing Chicago's Greatest Hits.

Funny you posted that particular song, it's my least favorite of their hit tracks because of her vocal performance (and it fairly boring, plodding). She knocks several other songs out of the park though, and a decent solo career to make up for it.

Fleetwood Mac for all the options.

One of my favourite bands, two of my favourite albums, against one band I don't really care about.

my actual Answer.

Nowadays i prefer Chicago just based on the a majority of the Kath years alone.

i'll take Chicago II over Rumours. honestly i'm sick of Rumours. not that it's a horrible album. it's just one of those albums that's ever present and i've had my fill.

BUT......nobody beats Tusk. one of my fav double albums.

I do sometimes wonder about a Fleetwood Mac that stayed on the Tusk path.

Apparently John Mcvie didn't like the experiments, but the results were so very good.

Man do i love that album. they went back to a safer formula on Mirage. and.....hits out the ass. But i find Mirage boring as all hell.
