This thread is inspired by KJ's comments in the Top Ten IYO thread. I tend to focus on drama when asked about the greatest films off all time. But I live Comedies, too.

So what are your top ten comedies of all time?

Seeing these lists, limiting it to ten is gonna be tough.

Murder By Death

Young Frankenstein

The Big Lebowski

Deconstructing Harry

Friday

Spinal Tap

It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World

Life of Brian

Look Who's Back (2017 German dark comedy in which Hitler is transported via a time portal to 2017 Germany, where his rhetoric is taken as inspired comic irony)

The trick is not to get killed. That's really the key to the benefit program.

Will there be more repetition among great comedies than among great dramas? There's lots of overlap in these lists (and will be in mine, too!); maybe a sense of humor is what makes a Rush fan?

Airplane!

Caddyshack

Major League

The Rutles

A Fish Called Wanda

Monty Python/Holy Grail

The Life of Brian

Blazing Saddles

Young Frankenstein

with Blues Brothers/Animal House/Dr. Strangelove rotating in and out of the top ten

Beavis and butthead do America

This was a surprisingly strong movie. Featuring one of my favorite AC/DC tracks...

Right!

I was cranking the soundtrack the other day.

I like megadeth 99 ways to die.

Also the primus song, the name of which I can't remember
