Bands only. No individual artists. I included The Band even though one guy was from the US. Genesis isn't on this list either. Edited by Rushman2112

A lot of these I do not know but I went for Triumph with honourable mentions to Saga, Max Webster and April Wine Edited by zepphead

Tough choice between two bands with nothing in common, Bare Naked Ladies and Triumph.

I'm rediscovering Big Sugar because of their new album Eternity Now.

I used to hear Big Sugar's hit singles on rock radio and viewed their videos on MuchMusic in the 90's.

However I'm delving deeper into the band's discography now.

Also I've been listening to Wide Mouth Mason and Big Wreck.

C'mon. Neil Young is cool. He should be allowed, but he has to play solo. Unless some of those Crazy Horse guys are Canadian.

I actually get a kick out of Loverboy's stuff. Pretty well craft heavy pop, with some very cool guitar and synth lines.

No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature is probably my favorite non-Rush Canadian tune.

Then there's some other Canadian bands.

Honeymoon Suite, The Spoons, Blue Peter, Platinum Blonde, Parachute Club, Grapes of Wrath, Men Without Hats, Glass Tiger, The Northern Pikes, D.O.A., Rough Trade, The Pursuit of Happiness, Idle Eyes, FM, Mahogany Rush, Voivod, Toronto, Headpins, Prism, Harlequin, Sweeney Todd, The Kings, Spirit of the West, Helix, Streetheart, Trooper, Barney Bentall and the Legendary Hearts.

Two individually written songs combined together. Randy Bachman wrote "No Sugar Tonight" and Burton Cummings wrote "New Mother Nature".

The Kings did the same thing with "This Beat Goes On/Switchin' To Glide".

Swithing to Glide is one of my all-time top tracks. "Nothing matters but the weekend, from a Tuesday point of view..."

I knew there were some Canadian bands, and groups, who weren't on the list like "Prism", "Honeymoon Suite", "Glass Tiger", "Loverboy", "Red Rider", "FM", "the Northern Pikes", "Headpins", "Toronto", and "Chilliwack", too. Edited by Derek19

I used to have a Prism album!

You guys got me again. Definitely a few bands I forgot about (and like). I didn't know BTO and Steppenwolf were Canadian bands. Dammit. Cool! The website let me edit the choices to add a few more. Hope that's better.
