Hurry up so we can have a celebration. :codger:

If duck posts 50 times a day, he’ll reach 100,000 on January 3, 2021.

If you whip him like a beast of burden so that he posts 100 times a day, he’ll reach 100,000 on November 9th.

I might get to 20,000 days alive before I get to 100,000 posts.

Probably. You’re not a 50 post a day TRFer. Lorraine’s gotta crack that whip hard on you if she wants that 100k celebration anytime soon

The Who.

The Police have never really done anything for me.

But does a Rush song "Vital Signs" do anything for you?

I suppose you dig it? And you would take it over any The Police song? :)

I love Vital Signs and would take it over any song I have heard from The Police. Was Vital Signs supposed to be a Police song or something?

That song would not exist if not for The Police.

Ah, I guess there's been a misprint on the songwriting credits then. You would think after almost 40 years somebody would have corrected that by now.

What TK means is Vital Signs is heavily influenced by The Police’s style, but is still a Rush song through and through. Like Working Man with Led Zeppelin.

I know. I was joking with my response.

Do what Mr. Not did. He posted "1" "1" "1" over and over and over.

Give it the old college try, and try and get there before I drop dead. :)

I believe he did over 3500 posts in one day, so even at 75% of that pace duck could get there in 2.

Never could get into the Who, but at some point I've owned and listened to all the Police albums. Could just be a my generation thing.

I never appreciated the Who till I got into my 40s, and I still don't care much for the early stuff, including Tommy. From Who's Next on is pretty strong, though, and Quadrophenia is brilliant.

Nor would the entire Signals or GUP albums. The influence is obvious and well-documented.

Quadrophenia is the album I actually own, and only know the hits from the other albums. Just doesn't connect for whatever reason. I think a sub-poll of Who fan s average age would indicate it's about being there at the right time (late 60s/early 70s), when they were at their peak. I listen to A LOT of music from that era, just not them.
