Both are great but there’s too much power in The Who for The Police to handle. The Who are the embodiment of “legendary”, right up there in the same conversation as Zeppelin.

That's the ironic thing isn't it? The Who always had more of that "punk" attitude ("Hope I die before I get old") than the fake punk Police, yet The Police are the ones who actually called it quits while they were on top whereas The Who have just kept going.

 

Personally I think as long as you can keep it together live and produce something good every once in a while you should keep going. Props to The Who for doing both of those things even with only Pete and Roger left.

Yeah. I think overall the Police bank of material is more consistent, but the highs of the Who are amazing.
