Uhhhh I really didn't want to say anything....but I couldn't help but notice that the juxtaposition between the Starman's, shall we say, little Starman, and the mask wearer's mouth is extremely problematic. I'm not sure who but someone needs to get canceled here.

There is nothing wrong with the picture. If someone wants to interpret it in a sexual way, then that is THEIR decision and THEIR problem.

Good lord will you shut up. lol.

Good lord if you didn't want to say anything then you shouldn't have said anything :scared:

Wow. Clever. Someone had his Ovaltine this morning.

If I hadn't said anything I wouldn't know who wears the halos around here. Btw, can you turn yours down a notch. It's blinding the f**k out of me.

Hi Three Eyes, as a board admin, I believe I can offer a different perspective concerning your posts in this thread: You're acting like a dick. Maybe you can turn THAT down a notch? Actually, all the way down to zero would work.

Wait what?!?!

iii is just being sarcastic.Big part of humor you see.

Everyone keep calm.

It wasn't so much Three Eyes' original response about the OP's mask that prompted me to say that, it was how he responded to the other people who called him out.

I wrote up something pretty blistering but you don't deserve that. However if you or anyone else ever feels I've crossed the line with some silly joke I've made just deal with me in a way you'd want to be dealt with yourself.

The Mod is the best ever, seriously. It's more about letting things go.

Which I'll gladly do after six or seven more smart-ass posts.

Thanks man. You are correct, sir. I'm weirded out by all the swift and virulent criticism over the initial comment. It was just meant to be a humorous if naughty observation told in social justice speak. Makes me wonder if some of this has been building up over time. I might be too much of a wise-ass for some here. A thread disrupter. An attention [family board]. That's not too far off actually. lol.

You can't hear a person's tone of voice on the internet. Which makes sarcasm hard to detect sometimes. But like you did right here, I always try and remember to put an "lol" at the end to indicate that the comment is supposed to be humorous.

Well I'm glad you brought that up. I don't know for sure but I feel the premise along with the faux social justice speak make it fairly obvious it's a joke. And would anyone ever really call a penis a "little Starman" is a serious way? To also suggest someone be canceled over this is absolutely ludicrous. Hell, the person on Rush's team who's responsible for this beautiful juxtaposition blooper deserves a raise. The photo I included was meant to represent a hysterical sjw type. That is in effect the "lol" here. (Yes, I know social justice is a polarizing topic.) Of course, all this assumes most are up on cancel culture and understand what the woman in the photo represents. Kind of interesting the way this all played out.

Anyone remember these...?

Awesome!!! That's what I'm talking about. Noticing silliness is not a crime.

To me, those shorts are a much better example of "WTF were they thinking when they designed those?" than that mask was. Like, how did those shorts ever get okayed for production? (Maybe the red fire hydrant and dog from Signals would have been better? Hmm, maybe not...) The Starman on the mask is much smaller and not everyone is going to think there's an inappropriate juxtaposition there.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with silliness and sarcasm, or pointing it out when others use it. I wasn't crazy about your original mask comment either, mainly because the person wearing the mask was someone who was super excited about Rush re-tweeting her picture, and then you come in and put a big damper on it ("Uhhhh I really didn't want to say anything....but..."). Again, it was the way you went after the ones who called you out. I didn't step in until you had a few exchanges with them -- there was enough material from you at that point to establish a certain pattern of "dickishness" in your responses, like you had all these smartass belittling comments lined up and ready to go, and you were so happy to be able to fire them all off to show how bitingly clever you are. It got old real quick.

You have over 1,100 posts and this is the first time someone's had a problem with you, so this doesn't need to turn into an ongoing thing. It happened, the original topic is back to doing it's original topic thing, so in the end, no big deal.

If they were bitingly clever, he would have at least deserved some props for that.

Funny how it’s you that’s at fault not those with the egregious lack of humour coupled with their entitled judgementalism.

If the Mod says you were serious or wrong to defend yourself then it must be true...

thats the kicker. he put an Lol in the the post that started this shit show.

secondly he has apologized at least once. the funny thing is how some guys got bent out of shape, while the OP basically let it go.

it may or may not have been funny but i dont think his intent was to offend or belittle anyone.

its time for everyone to put their "little star men" away and end this pissing match.

Just popping in to address this. I didn't apologize but I did acknowledge that the comment could have been written in a way that left little doubt I wasn't being serious or directing it toward the OP specifically. Thanks for chiming in with these reasonable thoughts though.

^^^ You know that whole thing I said about anyone wearing the Starman mask is giving him a BJ? I take that back.

^^^ i construed this as an apology of sorts

Wow this is interesting. No that was another joke and apparently another misfire. If you feel like it, take another look at it and look at where the little upward arrows are pointing.

Wow.

But like you did right here, I always try and remember to put an "lol" at the end to indicate that the comment is supposed to be humorous.

thats the kicker. he put an Lol in the the post that started this shit show.

secondly he has apologized at least once. the funny thing is how some guys got bent out of shape, while the OP basically let it go.

it may or may not have been funny but i dont think his intent was to offend or belittle anyone.

its time for everyone to put their "little star men" away and end this pissing match.

Just popping in to address this. I didn't apologize but I did acknowledge that the comment could have been written in a way that left little doubt I wasn't being serious or directing it toward the OP specifically. Thanks for chiming in with these reasonable thoughts though.

i sometimes apologize for things i dont feel like i have to. its just easier that way..........

Capitulation isn't appropriate in this situation.

To be honest I couldn't even figure this whole puzzle out and although not the brightest "Starman" in the sky, I can shine very brightly. LOL! See? Another LOL.

I've known 73 for almost 14 years, and I don't have to suck his ass believe me. I know he is fair and a patient ADMIN. TRUST ME!!! LOL!

Pretty much everyone is as smart and clever as you. It would be impossible not to be at least as clever.

There's nothing more sad, and yet funny at the same time, as a half wit appointing himself as judge of anything. Yet here you are.

I'd use your posts as evidence to white supremacists as evidence that white people are not superior to other races, but they'd probably think you're clever. At least the half that have below average intelligence for even that group would. Maybe.

To the feeble minded, clearly articulated common sense is gibberish. Just admit you're not funny or clever in the least and we can all move on.

How long does it have to take when someone makes a joke that f***ing stupid and has the username Three Eyes? That's signature significance right there.

By the wasy, I see you identified yourself as a free thinker above. If you have to say it...

The problem isn't that people didn't know it was a joke (though they could be forgiven for not doing so, given its complete lack of humor).

Having a sense of humor is necessary to differentiate between something that's actually humorous and the fifth grade locker room jokes you spew.

Please repeat the one about Weinerschnitzel suing Led Zeppelin for the song Hot Dog. Or maybe Weinerschnitzel was suing Hot Dog for being a Led Zeppelin song. Next level stuff, right there.

If they were bitingly clever, he would have at least deserved some props for that.

There's a difference between having an egregious lack of humor and mocking a sophomoric one. Make that a fifth grade locker room one.

Can you give me a few more of these? I'm going for the complete set. I'm planning on making a daily affirmation calendar out of them. Some of the more life affirming ones will go on Christmas cards.

Tell me about it! Some of the butts around here are so clenched they could be used...

  • as industrial clamps.
  • to teach isometrics to navy seals.
  • to lift grand pianos up the sides of tall buildings.
  • to help friends move.
  • as construction site sandblasters.
  • as t-shirt canons.
  • and many other industrial and home applications too numerous to mention.

The Fridge I know wouldn't have put an "lol" at the end. He'd have let TRF stew with his "c***s" and "f***s". Well okay, maybe not "f***s" but definitely the former. And no "lol" for sure!
