Here is my list...

1: Quadrophenia (1973)

2: Who's Next (1971)

3: Tommy (1969)

4: It's Hard (1982)

5: Who Are You (1978)

6: My Generation (1965)

7: Face Dances (1981)

8: A Quick One (1966)

9: The Who Sell Out (1967)

Haven't heard all of them, but the ones I have

1. Quadrophenia

2. Who's Next

3. Tommy

4. WHO

5. Who Are You

I'd toss Odds and Odds in there between WHO and Tommy, and Live At Leeds between Who's Next and Tommy.

My list would look a lot different if it included live albums and compilations as well.

I think some of the Who's compilation albums are better than some of the studio ones. Meaty Beaty Big and Bouncy and Odds & Sods are definitely in my top five Who albums, not to mention Live at Leeds.

Anyway, my Who studio albums ranking:

Who's Next

Quadrophenia

The Who by Numbers

The Who Sell Out

Who Are You

Tommy

A Quick One

It's Hard

My Generation

Face Dances

Endless Wire

Who

Live at Leeds is still my favorite album EVER ! Just sayin'

Not my favorite album ever, but I have said (and saying right here again) that it is the second best live rock and roll album ever made.

What do you think of Live at Hull 1970?

I need to listen to this one- I have seen some opinions written that the performance is even better than Leeds.
