    • Freddie Mercury
    • Roger Daltrey

When I hear "frontman", I think of audience interaction and cheerleader more than vocal talent. Roth, for instance, is a mediocre (at best) singer, but a terrific frontman.

Mercury is the most talented singer of the bunch, but the ultimate frontman to me is Jagger.

My fav is Freddie. Always has been. and there will never be another like him.

Mick

So true. Plenty of people have tried to imitate him (including me, of course), but there’s no comparing to the real deal.

He's tops for me. Not only theatrical but he NAILS the vocals live. Roth, Ozzy and Plant could never do that quite as well.

ETA: Jagger is a solid vocalist live. Probably deserves the #2 spot.

There was only one Freddie. He was born to be on stage.

This moment has to be the best in rock history:

Freddie Mercury was a natural. He loved the stage and he loved being loved by the ocean of people before him.

Do you often imagine Tony R dancing around and pulling faces like Mick Jagger?

No, but I do often imagine him wearing a crown and royal robes singing Save the Queen!!!

He doesn't like the Royal Family, it reminds him why he wears that curly Moe wig.

For me this is really Mick v. DLR. Strange as it may seem, Dave was more of a showman than Mick. Admittedly, I didn't see Mick in the heart of his prime, like I did Dave, but 1989 is close enough. Dave wasn't a great singer live or even in the studio, but he gave you your money's worth on stage.

He commanded that stadium. One of, if not my favorite, live concert videos. Edited by thesweetscience

He commanded every stadium. They said he saved the Live Aid concert. He loved being loved. When he walked out on stage, he took complete control.

Just to thank, once again, Stephen and EP - if it hadn't been for the two of you, I would never have gotten to "know" Freddie Mercury.

I have my dad to thank for sparking my curiosity when I first heard Somebody To Love and Bohemian Rhapsody.

Where has your Dad been? I haven't seen him on here in a long time.

Oh he just doesn't hang out around here that much in the first place. I think a lot of the time he'll log on just to keep an eye on me while I'm at school, of course I'm at home now like everyone else.
