At long last, hopefully the last poll I won't be able to vote in. A Day At The Races, Jailbreak, Boston, A Trick Of The Tail, Sad Wings Of Destiny, Crystal Ball, Rocks, Rising...you know even if you toss 2112 in here I'm still not sure.

Rocks. Aerosmith never got close to this good again IMO. Combination, Sick as a Dog, Rats in the Cellar, Nobody's Fault, Last Child... most of my favourites from them are here.

I thought, "oh, yeah, what could possibly beat the monster album that contains 'Achilles Last Stand'?" Well, now I've seen the list, I've reminded myself that an album is more than one world-historically great song, and I'm flummoxed.

Waiting for the spirit to move me . . . .

Kiss Destroyer is THE first album that I can remember by any musical act. They became my first favorite band. I was 5. And it remains my favorite Kiss album after all these years. Just a fun rock album with all the paint and fire to match.

...but I still had to pick Boston's debut!

I'd pick 2112 if I could, but since I can't, I'll go with Leftoverture, followed closely by the debut from Boston.

Rainbow Rising. Great year, some fantastic albums but Rising is killer for me.

A Trick Of The Tail deserves a mention for being a great album that we all expected to suck.

Toss-up between Rocks or Presence. I have a hard time deciding.

Edit: If A Trick of the Tail was on here, that might be it for me.

It is, isn't it? Tucked in there between Camel (?) and Black Sabbath . . .

I've been listening to a lot of Genesis for the first time lately, so I'm trying not to let my conversion fervor affect my voting, but I thought about it!

I was born on the release date of Hotel California.

Steely Dan - The Royal Scam was voted 'best guitar album' of 1976 by Guitar Player Magazine.

Here's a 1976 Canadian classic I'm sharing below.

Joni Mitchell - Hejira

To quote Up in Smoke, just go with it!

A Trick of the Tail was proof that they would be alright without Gabriel.

Hejira is definitely one of my favorites from 1976. And possibly my favorite Joni album, period.
