They are putting on a special concert in Berkeley at Les Claypool's favorite venue in the world.... The Greek!!

"A Farewell To Kings" all the way through!

I believe Wolfmother is opening!!

What a great surprise for me as well. A Richmond date plus Wolfmother opening (seen them twice so far). Will be my 5th Primus show (twice opening for Rush and twice headlining).

Can they sing that last super high bit of Cygnus X-1?

This...is not very likely.

They could bring in a 1977-era Geddy hologram to sing it?

If Wolfmother is touring with them - perhaps that dude?!

Can he sing high, I can't say I've heard much of them?

Yes - Kinda fun Deep Purple inspired rock. Been around for a bit. Lots of lineup changes.

I have heard some of their stuff but I can't remember his voice being all that high.

Read an interview with Les on this. They've had this in the works for a while, not just a reaction to Neil's passing. Les asked Geddy about doing this and got his ok. He described he first concert on the Hemispheres tour at 14. Puked in the parking lot after 3 beers and still got blown away by the concert.

They picked the right record to play through, that's all I'm saying.

Yeah you guys! I am getting mixed "Signals" get it? The Primus site says "A Farewell To Kings" in it's entirety. But on the Rolling Stone Les Claypool interview it says they are doing "Farewell" and "Hemispheres" back to back. Not sure what to believe.

I saw Wolfmother on their first tour and they kicked ass!

I noticed that some of you are going to get The Sword too! Nice triple bill!!

Hahaha! Yep! It says that Primus is doing "Farewell" and "Hemispheres" but I can't confirm it.

When I saw them do "Cygnus" in Oakland they only did the opening instrumental part. Les didn't sing anything on that song that night but it kicked ass. Herb nailed the drum parts.

Maybe they can get a woman to do it? I doubt it would sound right though.

Yeah I thought about that. Also who is going to lay down the synthesizer parts. Will Tim have a cowbell tree for "Xanadu?"
