So after having read the latest statement about them reaching out to artists of high caliber or something or other, I wonder about this, I mean how "big" can these artists be, that they'd play there? Edited by Laurabw

I saw that article; I should try and put it up here. Maybe the organizers are hoping they can get someone like Taylor Hawkins or Dave Grohl since they are big Rush fans?

I hope they announce the date soon. There is like only one weekend I could go and I bet it's not then!

It should be nice for whoever attends, though. It sounds kind of silly but when Davy Jones of the Monkees passed away, there was a memorial event and concert at a fairgrounds near here. (Jones had owned a farm in the area where he spent his later years.) I think the town put it together because they were getting all these phone calls of people wanting to come and there's not even a hotel nearby. They announced it and said people could camp and people came from all over the country and overseas to this little fairgrounds. I think the power of sharing with other fans is a big thing.

Yes, you're right about the fans thing.

I'll be curious to see how it all pans out. I'll definitely consider going.
