Don't think about it RUSH FANS! JUST DO IT!!!

Okay Earl, I tallied all the rankings and calculated it using my own system:

1) 3 points for a #1 ranking, 2 points for a #2 ranking, and 1 point for a #3 ranking

2) Any post stating that they can’t decide has been tossed! “If you choose not to decide...”

Sooooo the rankings...

1. Permanent Waves (with 40 points)

2. Moving Pictures (33 points)

3. Hemispheres (26 points)

Some bonus stats:

- the #4 ranked album, A Farewell to Kings, wasn’t far behind (23 points)

- Moving Pictures had the most #1 place votes (7)

- the only albums not getting any points were Presto, Roll the Bones, and Test for Echo

- the supremely important 2112 picked up a modest 5 points + was tied with Signals and Hold Your Fire for the #8 spot

- Clockwork Angels with a mere 4 points was ranked #11

Quick Hit!! Hahaaaa!! I love it, Earl!!

You and I need to hit up the casino together sometime!

1. Permanent Waves

2. Hold Your Fire

3. Hemispheres

Clockwork Angels is up pretty high, too...but I can’t put it in the top three, in place of any of those.

And on any given day, the order of those albums in the top three spots are pretty much interchangeable. But yeah, those are the ones. Today.

Sorry my friend! I forgot I wrote this thread! Hahaha! You caught my "slot machine" metaphor. Heck yes! I'll meet you at a casino! FUN!

When you’re 55, I’ll be 50, and I plan to be retired, too! And one of the places I want to go is far Northern California and Oregon...wouldn’t be that much more of a drive to Walnut Creek, or wherever-abouts you are!

Hey there!

You are a great guy and a excellent Rush Forum Member.

I know you are not alone with your love for "Vapor Trails."

So since you rank the record so high in your brain and in your life if you have the time could you please tell me why you love this album so much?

I love every Rush Record except this one and trust me, when it came out I loved it.

Forget about the production and the reissue. It's not about the sound to me. Over the years I just can't get through it. It has a few shining moments but for my ears it's a drag.

Please explain.......

Earl

Ironically I met Neil on this Tour. I am sure you know the not so "Cinderella Man" Story. LOL!

Your Peart experience in Cliffsnotes:

encounter - deer in headlights - back in Winnebago

the end

:blaze:

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Dude! You made my night!! You nailed it!!!

I used a lot of Cliff Notes in college as an English Major. Luckily my pen was mightier than the sword.

Nice Rush reference at "The End." LOL!
