Of the thousands of photographs of Neil, this has been my favorite.

The guys from my book club got together last night and were talking about how unique a guy Neil was as ar as rock stars go. That photo sums it up perfectly.

Been wearing a black tee all day today with this image on it. Amazed at how many ppl have acknowledged or come up to me to discuss Neil. From millenials to old-timers. Its funny, could tell when someone was making their way to me from 30 ft away, as probably any famous person could.

This one.

It was printed with an interview with Neil in a music magazine I read a few weeks after I saw them for the first time, in 1977. You can read that article here:

Just read through it again and remembered the anticipation of waiting for A Farewell To Kings. And I've just noticed that he mentions the Newcastle show that I went to a few weeks earlier, my first rock concert. Not sure I've read that piece again since 1977.

And now, for the first time, I've just felt the sting of tears come to my eyes. But don't worry, readers - I've blinked 'em back.

This one. When I was a teenager, I had the inner sleeve of the Farewell to Kings LP pinned up on my bedroom wall. That image of Neil was in it.

He looks a bit like Ian Anderson there.

Apologies for the bitter-sweetness of this one, both personal (from my first tourbook (PWaves)), and somehow appropriate, I believe...

I can't help it, I just love this photo no matter how many times I see it. Neil doesn't look particularly happy to be there, but he's sort of dealing with it. Something about his moustache and that outfit gives me the creeps.
