goose
The Bangles' Walk Like An Egyptian was a good one, with each member taking a turn at vocals, and Susanna Hoff doing that little side-to-side look.

blueschica
We used to watch MTV a lot late at night with friends, so anything that stood out as original or funny was always fun to watch! The ones that I remember are Close (to the Edit) - Art of Noise it was kind of unique, it had a small girl marching around in it and teasing her dog with a sausage. I'm sorry the youtube resolution is really bad. It was Anne Dudley and Trevor Horn. One of Rush (can't remember who) mentioned that they were an influence on the Rush sound in the 80's.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBpeKestX-M One Step Beyond- Madness Liked the sound of that group and their videos were always entertaining! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOJSM46nWwo And the ever awesome Fishheads, fish heads by Barnes and Barnes. This has to be one of the strangest videos ever . . . eat them up, yum! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-K2DZojWi0 Edited September 15, 2019 by blueschica

Rutlefan
Gerry Rafferty's Bring It All Home. I loved the animation and imagery. Finding it now (almost) forty years later I still think it's very cool. Edited September 16, 2019 by Rutlefan
GeddyRulz
"Take On Me" is still the best video ever! First time I saw the video was the first time I ever heard the song, and it was at a theater, on a big screen, like a preview before the movie. I'll never forget seeing its ending that way, slamming against the walls and going back and forth between penciled animation and live action...

invisible airwave
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IsSpAOD6K8&ab_channel=DavidByrneThe cuts from Stop Making Sense were great, too. My dad used to always remind me how much I loved the Burning Down The House video when I was 2 or 3. I especially love Road To Nowhere and the two from True Stories. You can’t get away with Love For Sale being made today because the product placements would be blocked out. Neil Young learned the hard way a year later...for a video that mocked commercials. Satire went over MTV’s heads.
invisible airwave
One of the best concert movies. Saw it on Showtime recently. Love how it uses the stage as if it’s a set of a play or movie to tell the story of the songs.
